Denver woman preparing to have a Breast Lift (Mastopexy) and Breast Augmentation with Dr. Millard
My name is Heidi and I am a 33 year old female. I have a daughter who is 14 months old. I gained 73 pounds when I was pregnant with my daughter! My breast went from a full size C cup to an F while I was pregnant. I breastfed my daughter for 7 months after she was born and I loved every minute of it. I have lost almost all of my pregnancy weight- with only 15 more pounds to go (the hardest 15lbs I might add!). Before I had my daughter via c-section- I was one of those people who would pass out 3 times when they take my blood! I have a MAJOR phobia of needles and get queasy when I even think about anything remotely related to having surgery. However, since I had my daughter, I feel a little more confident in myself when it comes to surgery. Which brings me to why I am writing this blog… I have decided that I want to have a much needed breast lift and breast augmentation in 2009! Just making the decision was a huge step for me. I really think that it is going to give me some of my confidence back and make me look at my body as I did before I had my daughter! I am way to young not to feel sexy! I am still very unnerved by surgery, but I know that Dr. Millard and his assistant Kim, will take the best care of me, and provide me with EXCELLENT results. I started smoking lightly about 2 months ago, so I was informed by Dr. Millard that I need to be sober from cigarettes for at least 3 months before he will do the surgery on me. It has to do with the way your body heals, or should I say doesn’t heal properly because of smoking. So, I am taking medication to help me quit, and I am even going to give acupuncture a shot to help ease me out of smoking. My goal is to be tobacco free on 1/8/09 so that I can schedule my surgery the 2nd week in March. I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to be having these procedures! In a month when I go in for my appointment with Kim and Dr. Millard, I will post some before pictures as well as my post op pictures after the surgery. I haven’t even begun to look at pictures of what I want yet, but I am sure that Dr. Millard and Kim can help me with those decisions as well. If anyone out there has a story like mine, I would love to here from you!
